Turtle nests in the protected area of Pacoche
The long beach of San Lorenzo (Manta, Ecuador) is well known for being the site where sea turtles lay their eggs. They return by instinct to the same beach where they were hatched themselves.
Tourism Ecuador: Walk in the San Lorenzo forest
This excursion takes us through a semi humid tropical forest, where we will find banana plants, bamboo, coffee and other fruit trees typical of this area.
Tourism Ecuador: Humpback whales
These mammals (jorobadas in spanish) bend their backs to shoot out of the water and fall back with an awesome splash, so they are called “humpback whales”. This happens as part of a ritual in times of mating and reproduction off the coast of Manabi Ecuador, specifically in the warm waters between Puerto Lopez and “Isla de la Plata”, known as “whale sanctuary” area.
